It was a brutal swing with a lead pipe from Maryse that did the most damage to Bella, via WWE Universe:
ESPN's Tim Fiorvanti suggested this brutal attack will most likely have further implications between Bella and Maryse:
Bliss would post an Instagram photo holding the title after the show:
Nikki and Nattie have been at odds for the past few months stemming from an incident that occurred at Survivor Series.
Bella was scheduled to be the captain of SmackDown's team, but she was attacked prior to the match. When she was unable to compete, Natalya was elevated from coach to captain.
While Nikki blamed the situation on Carmella since they were feuding at the time, Carmella revealed that Nattie was responsible, and the Queen of Harts admitted to the misdeed.
That led to some vicious insults getting hurled back and forth with Natalya as the primary aggressor.
Nattie revealed that she always hated Nikki, told Nikki that John Cena would eventually leave her and even claimed that Cena would be with her if she wasn't already married to Tyson Kidd.
All of that bad blood built up to their match at Elimination Chamber, but there was no resolution, as they fought to a double count-out.
Natalya then attacked Nikki later in the night during a backstage interview, and they once again brawled on the ensuing episode of SmackDown.
With general manager Daniel Bryan getting fed up with their antics, he put them in a Falls Count Anywhere match to settle the score.
Following that announcement, Nikki vowed to teach her former friend a lesson:
Nattie was unafraid, however, and made it clear that she intended to get one over on the woman who she claims has been handed everything due to Cena's influence:
Tuesday's match was several weeks in the making, and it was a fitting stipulation because Nikki and Natalya had fought each other in essentially every inch of every arena they had been in previously.
While WWE was seemingly reluctant to put women in stipulation matches for years, that has changed significantly of late with Hell in a Cell, Iron Man, steel cage and now Falls Count Anywhere matches being featured in recent months.
Nikki and Nattie have undoubtedly paid their dues in WWE, and they earned the opportunity to showcase their skills in a hard-hitting, no-holds-barred match.
Nattie's win means she will have momentum heading into WrestleMania, and one can only assume that she may have worked her way into the SmackDown Women's Championship conversation. Now it seems all but certain that Nikki will begin feuding with Maryse, and expect The Miz and Cena to get involved sooner or later as the road to WrestleMania 33 gets more interesting.
