Rudy Gobert Late Scratch with Leg Injury for Jazz vs. Thunder
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert will miss Saturday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to right leg soreness, according to ESPN.com's Tim MacMahon.
In his fourth NBA season, Gobert has broken out as a borderline superstar. He came into Saturday averaging 13.1 points, 12.7 rebounds and a league-high 2.5 blocks per game, all career-best marks. There were some who thought he deserved All-Star consideration over DeAndre Jordan.
Gobert had played in all 65 of Utah's games so far this season, a promising stretch of health after he missed 21 games in 2015-16. He previously played all 82 games in 2014-15, though more than half of those came as a reserve.
Jeff Withey will see extended minutes with Gobert out of action, and Derrick Favors may also see time at center.
