Pop star Justin Timberlake came within inches of nailing a hole-in-one at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament in California on Saturday.

It was on the par-three seventh hole. The 36-year-old Memphis Grizzlies minority owner just missed the ace, but he comfortably tapped in for birdie.

"This guy brought his A-game today, boys," Justin Rose, Timberlake's partner and the 2013 U.S. Open winner, said of the singer, per GolfChannel.com's Ryan Lavner.

Rose was taking a selfie during Timberlake's highlight shot.

"I just close my eyes, really," JT said.
