Warriors' Twitter Promotes Game Versus Thunder with Kevin Durant, Andre Roberson
Saturday night's marquee matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder is one anyone could promote.
Two superstar teammates turned rivals will meet inside Chesapeake Energy Arena for the first time since one defected to the other side.
Those two players, of course, are Kevin Durant and...Andre Roberson.
Fans surely needed no reminder of this epic feud worthy of a WWE main event, but Golden State's official Twitter account offered one anyway.
Who else could the Warriors have placed on the graphic for OKC? Anthony Morrow? Kyle Singler? Nick Collison?
Perhaps Russell Westbrook would have been an acceptable choice. He's having a decent season, leading the league with 30.9 points per game while averaging a triple-double. But he's not even an All-Star starter.
With Durant gone, Roberson has significantly enhanced his numbers, setting career highs with 6.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest. He is quietly turning into a double-double machine, recording two in consecutive games last Sunday and Monday.
Maybe the Warriors' social media staff couldn't find a good picture of Westbrook. A more likely explanation: They're trolling Oklahoma City's star point guard with a magnificently petty tweet.
