Julian Edelman Was Confident He Made His Ridiculous Super Bowl LI Catch

When watching Super Bowl LI on Sunday, many fans may have had a hard time believing that New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman actually caught the ball cleanly on that ridiculous play as his team drove for the game-tying score.

Heck, even Edelman said that it was "70 percent luck." But there was never any doubt in his mind that it was indeed a catch.

As seen on Showtime's Inside the NFL, Edelman hauled in the catch, and microphones picked up the wideout saying, "I caught it!"

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brian Poole may not have wanted to believe it, but the video doesn't lie.

Making sure Edelman was miked up was a brilliant move. Not only did he have the most memorable play of the game, but he also provided a hilarious response to the game-ending touchdown:
