15-Year-Old Boston Sports Fan Attends 10th Championship Parade

Not every fan lives to see any of his or her favorite sports teams win a championship. Many crave the opportunity to celebrate one title.

Boston sports followers, especially younger ones, are spoiled.

The Celtics and Bruins each won a title in 2008 and 2011, respectively. After breaking the curse in 2004, the Red Sox added two more rings in 2007 and 2013. The Patriots, who won their fifth title Sunday, have done most of the work.

That's 10 championships since 2002, so no sports fan is as fortunate as a loyal Boston teenager. This 15-year-old traveling to the Pats' title parade was born at the perfect time.

New England won its first Super Bowl 15 years ago, so he has no memory of it. A loud, crowded parade on a winter day is also a terrible place for an infant, so maybe he didn't actually attend all 10.

Nevertheless, he has already watched more title coronations than an adult from any other town could dream of witnessing.
