Atlanta-Area Students Blame Falcons-Related Illnesses for Tardiness
There were likely a lot of absences and late arrivals at schools (and places of business) in the Boston and Atlanta areas on Monday—but for entirely different reasons.
New England Patriots fans should understandably be celebrating after their team pulled off the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history. On the other hand, Atlanta Falcons fans must be depressed or sick to their stomachs after their team collapsed in the second half of Super Bowl LI.
One school in Georgia's Gwinnett County saw some new excuses as to why students were late to school on Monday. "Falcons depression" and "failed to rise up" are pretty common in the Atlanta area right now.
