UFC Video Game Brought to Life with Wacky Fight Night 104 Knockout
EA Sports UFC 2 is probably the best all-around MMA video game of all time. Unfortunately, no sports title is free of its oddities and the Christian Kirksey of the latest UFC game is the sometimes hilarious knockout animations produced by its physics engine.
Sometimes, however, life does imitate art and a great example of that came at UFC Fight Night 104. In a heavyweight bout between Marcel Fortuna and Anthony Hamilton, Fortuna landed an awkward right hand to the temple. The punch proved to be devastating, however, as Hamilton seemingly break-danced himself face-first into the canvas, similar to the knockouts frequently seen in the digital version of the Octagon:
That's a great debut for Fortuna, who stated his intentions to drop down from the heavyweight division. We'll see if he can break out EA Sports UFC's telekinetic assassination for his next one.
