Serena Williams captured a record-setting 23rd Grand Slam singles title by defeating her sister, Venus, in the Australian Open final Saturday. Following her historic win, she received gifts from another famous No. 23.

While appearing on ESPN after the victory, she was surprised with a box containing sneakers and a congratulatory letter from Michael Jordan.

One pair came in her favorite color, pink, with a "23" inscribed to commemorate her passing Steffi Graf for the most Grand Slam singles titles in the Open era.

"I can't believe I'm saying 'thank you' to Michael Jordan. He's still the greatest," Williams said.
