Kings Troll Cavaliers on Twitter After Overtime Upset
In perhaps their biggest win of the season, the Sacramento Kings stunned the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 116-112 overtime upset Wednesday night. Jubilant from their improbable triumph, the team's Twitter account had fun at Cleveland's expense.
The mocking started with a sword slashed through an "L" colored in the Cavaliers' wine red. They stole their opponents' slogan by declaring, "This one's for the Land."
Sacramento's social media team didn't stop there. For good measure, it posted an image of Kings star DeMarcus Cousins handing Cleveland an "L" with an accompanying soundtrack courtesy of LeBron James:
Few franchises know more about losing than the Kings, who haven't had a winning season since 2005-06. Let them enjoy a rare win while the Cavaliers plan a path to their third straight NBA Finals.
