The AS Roma star showed his class from a set piece for Egypt in their final group game at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, powering a left-foot strike beyond Ghana goalkeeper Brimah Razak.
The 24-year-old winger was given few opportunities to shine during his time in the Premier League with Chelsea, but the former FC Basel man took this chance with 11 minutes on the clock at Stade de Port-Gentil.
