Khadim N'Diaye produced a moment to remember at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Monday night.
It wasn't a stunning save from the Senegal goalkeeper that will live long in the memory, though. Instead, N'Diaye will be remembered for tripping himself up in a blatant piece of time-wasting as the clock ticked down on Algeria in this year's tournament.
With the game at 2-2, N'Diaye decided to take some time out of the game, even though his country had already qualified for the quarter-finals. Bizarrely, a late goal for Algeria wouldn't have changed anything in Group B, with the Desert Warriors bowing out and Tunisia taking second.
So, in summary, N'Diaye was only wasting his own time. We hope for more antics from the stopper in the quarter-final against Cameroon on Saturday.
