Tom Brady Welcomes Jimmy Garoppolo, Jacoby Brissett to His Wolf Pack
January 23, 2017The New England Patriots went 14-2 in the regular season and are on their way to the Super Bowl, all thanks to their three quarterbacks.
Correction: All thanks to their three-man wolf pack.
Jimmy Garoppolo filled in for Tom Brady while the 12-time Pro Bowler served his Deflategate suspension, and Jacoby Brissett stepped in when Garoppolo got hurt. After his replacements went a combined 3-1 in his absence, Brady came in and went 11-1 the rest of the way to secure the top seed in the AFC playoffs. He then led the team to a berth in Super Bowl LI.
That success led to a lifelong bond, one Brady couldn't wait to post about after the AFC Championship Game:
You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when the Patriots brought Jimmy in, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack - it grew by one, so where there two - there were two of us in the wolf pack. I was alone first in the pack and then Jimmy joined in later. And nine months ago, when the Patriots introduced me to Jacoby, I thought 'Wait a second, could it be?' And I knew for sure- I just added another guy to my wolf pack. So today, I make a toast! Blood brothers!
Of course, that post was inspired by the movie The Hangover:
