Baylor Football: Briles' Bears Are Bowl Bound, Regardless of Injuries
The Baylor Bears football team, under the leadership of head coach Art Briles, are destined to be bowl-bound this season—regardless of the latest injuries.
So far, so good—right?
Three wins and a loss is about where we thought we’d be come Big 12 play.
Granted, we’ve run into a few injuries along the way—but thus far, the Bears have proven they can bounce back and fight to the finish.
This weekend’s game at Oklahoma will be a true test, there’s no doubt.
But I also have no doubt that these Bears can play with ANYONE when they believe in themselves and each other.
It’s been mentioned before, but I’ll say it again—Coach Briles and his staff are geniuses; and they have recruited enough talent to this team to stand up and fight, regardless of the injuries.
When Baylor hits the field in Norman on Saturday on ABC, look for the Bears to continue their trek toward a bowl—and they won’t give up ‘til they reach that goal.
Looking beyond OU, the Baylor Bears really do have a brutal road ahead.
But the solid mixture of experienced collegiate athletes with a young and talented freshman and sophomore class has the Bears on the brink of a bowl in 2009.
In addition, check out the chemistry on this football team—it’s unreal; we’re one big happy family with one giant goal in mind: break into postseason play.
A challenge truly awaits Baylor as Big 12 play kicks off this weekend in Oklahoma, but three more wins are definitely within reach—and the Bears have a shot at picking up even more than that.
With the ninth toughest schedule in the nation, there’s no doubt that it’s going to be an uphill climb—but if anyone can do it, these Bears can.
The Baylor Nation needs to back the Bears now more than ever—and with a little help from their friends, who knows what this team can accomplish.
The opportunities are endless, and Briles’ Bears are absolutely on the rise in one of the country’s strongest conferences.
One step at a time; one win at a time.
We can and will reach that bowl goal.
All we need is three more wins and counting…
