NSFW: Brennan Ward Posts Photo of Deep Gash Following Flying-Knee KO at Bellator
When you look inside a cut and can't see the bottom, that's a pretty deep cut. Actually, when you can look inside a cut at all, there are significant problems.
That was the situation faced by Bellator welterweight Brennan Ward after he sustained a flying-knee knockout from Paul Daley in the co-main event of Saturday night's Bellator 170.
The blow landed flush on Ward's temple and opened a huge, comma-shaped gash around his left eye socket. Ward, who was taken out on a stretcher as a precaution but does not appear to have suffered any major immediate damage, posted a photo of the cut on his Instagram account (h/t Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie).

That image is NSFW. I am so not kidding.
With both men known as knockout artists, fireworks were expected. Fireworks were received. It was the 29th career knockout for the Brit Daley (39-14-2) but only the second knockout loss for Ward (14-5).
