John Tortorella Comments on If LeBron James Could Play Hockey: 'Not a Chance'
Many people believe that Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, who boasts great size (6'8", 250 lbs) and out-of-this-world athleticism, could play just about any sport he wants.
Columbus Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella disagrees.
Tortorella, whose Blue Jackets sit atop the NHL standings with a 30-9-4 record, was asked if he thought James—who recently called himself a "football player"— would be able to make the transition to hockey. Tortorella, who has never been one to mince words, gave his honest opinion on the matter:
"Not a chance."
It will be interesting to see if James responds. Perhaps once the Cavaliers' season is over, the four-time NBA MVP will be inclined to make the two-hour drive from Cleveland to Columbus to take Tortorella up on the challenge.
