D-League's Derrick Jones Jr. Soars, Dunks Home Rebound

Zac WassinkJan 18, 2017

The NBA Development League's Oklahoma City Blue learned the hard way it's a good idea to box out Northern Arizona Suns forward Derrick Jones Jr.

Roughly four minutes into the second half of Wednesday's game at the Hershey Centre, Suns forward Elijah Millsap bricked a shot from beyond the arc.

Oklahoma City failed to account for Jones, who soared above the rim and slammed the ball home to cut his team's deficit to 61-58.

It may be the most impressive dunk you'll see this evening—Jones' hair was above the rim at the peak of his jump.

He's only 19 years old, so we assume his hops will improve as he continues to physically develop.
