5-Star RB Zamir White Commits to Georgia over Alabama, Ohio State, UNC
Zamir White is one of the biggest prizes the class of 2018 had to offer, and Georgia secured a major recruiting win Tuesday when the 5-star running back committed to the Bulldogs.
Matt DeBary of Scout first relayed word of White's choice.
A standout at Scotland High School in Laurinburg, North Carolina, White made a name for himself thanks to an elite blend of speed and power that has allowed him to gash defenses in a multitude of ways.

With the ability to reach top speed through the hole and accelerate past defenders at the second level, White solidified himself as the No. 1 running back in the nation and the seventh-ranked player overall among 2018 recruits.
According to Scout.com's official evaluation: "He can make defenders miss or run over them. White can also run inside or outside and is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball. He is a very special player and has a chance to be a superstar in college."
White's numbers reflect that assessment.
After he rushed for 2,159 yards and 41 touchdowns on 260 carries as a sophomore, White ripped off 9.7 yards per carry and totaled 1,693 yards and 26 touchdowns on 175 rushing attempts as a junior, according to MaxPreps.
It could take a bit of time before White sees consistent snaps out of the Bulldogs backfield.
Georgia's depth chart is loaded with talent at running back, including 2017 commit D'Andre Swift and risers like Brian Herrien and Elijah Holyfield.
In other words, patience will be key.
However, White can take solace in the fact that his elite skill set and tremendous high school pedigree will give head coach Kirby Smart plenty to think about when it comes to finding a role for him shortly after he arrives on campus.
