Matt Lafleur Hired as Rams Offensive Coordinator

The Los Angeles Rams hired 31-year-old Sean McVay as their new head coach on Jan. 12, and the league's youngest boss now has an offensive coordinator by his side as the team announced the hiring of former Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Matt Lafleur.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn told reporters Tuesday that the Rams requested permission to interview quarterbacks coach Matt LaFleur.

Earlier, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported LaFleur was "likely" to be named the Rams offensive coordinator.

On Feb. 5, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the two sides had mutual interest.
