Gary Payton II Posterizes D-League Defender

Gary Payton II, a son of a Hall of Famer, is spending the early part of 2017 playing for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA Development League.

The second coming of The Glove introduced himself to a Sioux Falls Skyforce defender rather rudely Wednesday at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

Roughly four minutes into the final period, the 24-year-old easily made his way into the paint. Sioux Falls center Keith Benson made the mistake of trying to defend him, and Payton dunked all over the big man.

Benson and his teammates enjoyed the last laugh, however, as the visitors defeated Payton and the Vipers 135-129.
