For What It's Worth—Ritter's Red-Hot NHL Picks
The bitterness of yet another poor showing will loom large for me today. This time, it was the STANLEY CUP CHAMPION Pittsburgh Penguins that let me down by getting horse-whipped by the lowly Phoenix Coyotes, 3-0, on HOME ICE no less!!!
In the other match, the Vancouver Canucks wiped the floor with the Montreal Canadiens with a 7-1 victory. Roberto Luongo had a strong game and the Sedin twins had seven points between them.
For those of you not paying attention, given the results of last night’s games, I went a rather ordinary 1-1. That brings my season total to a anything but sensational 14-20, ouch!
Tonight’s schedule is featured by a couple of fierce rivalry matchups. Chicago plays Detroit, Pittsburgh plays Philadelphia, Washington plays the NY Rangers, and Calgary plays Edmonton. All four of these games should be excellent tilts, with the home side being the favorite in all cases.
There are a total of 12 games tonight; I suspect I will struggle once again, so don’t be wagering the wife and the house tonight...unless of course you hate the wife and live in a dump, then, by all means, wager away!
