If James Rodriguez is hoping to convince manager Zinedine Zidane he's worthy of a regular spot in Real Madrid's XI in 2017, he's off to a good start.

The Colombian, who has been consistently mentioned in transfer rumours, scored a wonderful goal in Real Madrid's Copa del Rey match against Sevilla to open the scoring on Wednesday.

His father said that he wants to stay and fight for his place at the Bernabeu:
