Tottenham Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Wilfried Zaha and Franck Kessie
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to try and land Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha once again, while Juventus are said to have dropped out of the race to land star youngster Franck Kessie of Atalanta.
According to Squawka (h/t Football Whispers and Danny Lee for ESPN FC), manager Mauricio Pochettino remains infatuated with Zaha, even after a failed £20 million bid during the summer. Spurs will return to Palace with an improved £25 million bid in January for the former Manchester United man.
The 24-year-old has scored three goals and added six assists in the Premier League this season, once again impressing with his raw pace and technical ability. Per Palace's official Twitter account, few can match him in the dribbling department:

Zaha has mostly played as a left winger this season but is also comfortable on the right or even in a central role. In Spurs' system, he'd likely compete with Son Heung-min and Erik Lamela for a spot in the starting XI.
The latter has been sidelined with injury for a large part of the season, explaining the need for another wide option. Son has enjoyed something of a breakout campaign, although his hot form has cooled down significantly in recent weeks.

Zaha would add competition and a whole lot of Premier League experience to the wide areas, but convincing Palace to sell won't be easy. The Eagles sit dangerously close to the relegation spots and are in need of a strong second half to the season―they won't consider parting with one of their top attacking outlets unless the offer is significant.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato report Juventus have dropped out of the race to sign Kessie, leaving Tottenham as the favourites to land the Ivory Coast international ahead of several other Premier League clubs.
Per the report, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are all expected to present formal offers to Atalanta shortly, while Spurs have already tabled their opening bid. With so many clubs interested, Kessie's price will likely go through the roof, and Juventus have decided not to take part in the bidding war.

David Amoyal of Gianlucadimarzio.com reports the same thing:
Kessie has been Serie A's top breakout star this year, playing a leading part in Atalanta's great start to the campaign. The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Cesena, where he was converted from a centre-back to a midfielder.
The move revealed his true potential, and Kessie has been impressing ever since. His combination of athleticism, brute strength, vision and scoring ability has already drawn comparisons to compatriot Yaya Toure, and for good reason.
Here's a look at some of his highlights:
Spurs are already loaded at the central midfield position, and that may limit how much they're willing to spend on the talented youngster. Kessie has incredible potential, however, and clubs will rue passing on the chance to sign him.
