Cam Newton's fashion choices always draw attention. Never afraid to wear something bold, he donned Santa Claus-themed attire at a recent charity event.

Per the Charlotte Observer's Katie Peralta, the quarterback's Cam Newton Foundation joined forces with Food Lion—a grocery store chain whose headquarters are located in North Carolina—to start a program providing children with backpacks:

But wait, there's more!

As Food Lion's Twitter account shows, Newton presented a $30,000 check at the Barringer Academic Center in Charlotte as well as backpacks with food for the kids in attendance:

Recently punished and ridiculed for his wardrobe, Newton devoted his fashion flair, along with his time and money, to a good cause. Only a true Grinch would criticize his personal adaptation of Kris Kringle's attire, which consisted of a top hat, scarf and leather pants.
