Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Edinson Cavani and Danny Rose
Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani a route out of France next year if he can't agree a new contract with the club. Elsewhere, Danny Rose is a target for the Red Devils.
Cavani's current contract is due to expire in 2018, and although PSG are understood to have tabled a new three-year offer, Neil Fissler of the Sunday Express reported he's hesitating over signing for now.
The Uruguay international was long viewed as PSG's understudy to incumbent United frontman Zlatan Ibrahimovic during their time together in Paris, but the former is now grasping his opportunity as a central striker with both hands.

The 29-year-old is currently averaging a goal per game across all competitions, as explained by BigSport:
United have allegedly revived their interest after seeing him shoot back to top form
However, Cavani may not be eager to once again serve as back-up to Ibrahimovic, who now leads the line under United boss Jose Mourinho, meaning a 2017 transfer could come too soon for the South American.
The forward is showing just how valuable he can be after several seasons in the wilderness. ESPN FC's Jonathan Johnson hailed the return of one of European football's finest strikers to his very best:
Cavani also recently set tongues wagging at Old Trafford after telling French broadcaster SFR Sport of his desire to play alongside Antoine Griezmann, another reported United target, per Metro's Mark Brus: "I would like to play a day with Antoine Griezmann. But I’m sure of one thing, I’m going to defend this shirt until my last day here (in Paris)."
Elsewhere, the Mirror's Steve Bates reported both United and Manchester City are chasing England left-back Danny Rose, although Bleacher Report's Samuel Rooke sees the deal being an expensive one for either suitor:
The 26-year-old is enjoying the best form of his career under current boss Mauricio Pochettino.
It's mentioned in the report United were big fans of Rose during Louis van Gaal's time at the helm, and WhoScored.com provided a breakdown as to just why the Premier League's elite might examine him as a target:
However, Rose has a contract running until the summer of 2021 and will likely cost a lot more than the £25 million Bates cited as a transfer value, a hefty sum considering United already have Luke Shaw in the left-back role.
Mourinho has displayed some hesitation to rely on the former Southampton defender as his sole option in that position, and England team-mate Rose may be viewed as the upgrade the Red Devils need down their left flank.
