Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Karamoko Dembele and Mario Pasalic

Chelsea want the "most sought-after youngster in Britain" and are ready to launch a bid to sign Celtic teenage sensation Karamoko Dembele.

Antonio Conte will rival Manchester City for the 13-year-old wonderkid who has made a name for himself north of the border, according to Jack Pitt-Brooke of the Independent. The Sky Blues are said to be "leading the chase" for the Scotland under-16 international, but Dembele was born in London and "his family want to keep his options open."

According to Pitt-Brooke, the player could soon switch his allegiances from Scotland to England after he trained with the Three Lions under-15 side. As expected, the Glasgow giants want to retain "their most talented prospect in a generation."

Karamoko Dembele is still a long way from first-team football, and does not even turn 14 until February. But Celtic are desperate to prove to him that he has a quick route to the first team at Parkhead, which is why they made the surprising decision to play him in an Under-20 game in October. The riches on offer in the English game could become the deciding factor, but Dembele will undoubtedly become a folk hero if he stays in Scotland and makes his debut for the Bhoys when he turns professional.

The sheer stature of Chelsea or City would be difficult for any player to resist when considering the best place to develop his wider talents.

The winger also has the choice of moving to Ajax's famed academy, per Pitt-Brooke, who are known for their production line of youth superstars.

Celtic hitman Moussa Dembele has revealed his teenage namesake is already taking part in first-team training, but he's being handled with care. 

The French striker thinks it's too soon to speculate on the 13-year-old's long-term future, as quoted by BBC Sport's Jonathan Sunderland.

"We didn't want to kick him because he is still so small," said Dembele. "He is a good talent but we have to wait and see how he will improve as a player."

Despite his tender age, Dembele's talent is obvious, and his low centre of gravity when running with the ball is similar to Diego Maradona's direct style.

Dembele can sprint past an opponent with precision and simplicity, with the ball glued to his foot as he accelerates.

Despite his lack of height, which should increase in the coming years, he is already a robust figure on the pitch, bringing strength and power in the opposition's half.

In other Blues news, loan player Mario Pasalic—currently with AC Milan—is delighted with his move to the Serie A team, with his representative saying he has fallen "in love" at the San Siro.

Agent Marko Naletilic told MilanNews (h/t Rhys Turrell of the Daily Star) his client is enjoying his loan spell in Italy: "I’ll tell you that he’s in love with Milan, so that should let you know what Pasalic wants. Clearly he’s aware of what Milan means in the history of world football. Will he stay permanently? Right now we won’t talk about it, we’ll see what happens, right now it’s important for him to play well and help the team."

After a delayed debut for Vincenzo Montella’s side, the Croatian has been impressive as the fallen giants battle for their spot at the summit of the domestic game.

Pasalic signed for the Blues from Hajduk Split in 2014 but was immediately farmed out on loan before featuring at Stamford Bridge.

The player has been away from west London for two full seasons, loaned to Elche and Monaco, and his latest success for the Rossoneri could see his Chelsea career come to an end if he opts to stay in Italy.
