Kevin Harlan Again Delivers Play-by-Play of Fans Streaking on Field During 'MNF'

Andrew GouldDec 6, 2016

For the second time this season, some foolish fans ran onto the field during a dull Monday Night Football blowout. For the second time this season, Kevin Harlan provided the most exciting call of the evening.

During the San Francisco 49ers' 28-0 Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, the Westwood One announcer delivered enthusiastic play-by-play commentary of a fan getting tackled by security. "That was the most exciting thing to happen tonight," he declared after his over-the-top call.

He found himself in a similar situation Monday night, when the Indianapolis Colts trounced the New York Jets 41-10. As per protocol, ESPN's crew cut away and paid no attention to the two fans who ran onto the field at MetLife Stadium.

Harlan, however, doesn't play by those rules.

"Ooh. Did you see that tackle?" Harlan asked. "Oh, and the other guy's knocked down!"

Boomer Esiason joined the fun, offering color commentary with a biting insult at his former team's expense.

"They're actually hitting harder than the Jets defense," he said in reference to the state troopers.
