The Denver Broncos claimed running back Justin Forsett off waivers Monday.

Adam Schefter of ESPN was first to report the agreement before Forsett commented on his new home in a post on Twitter:

Justin Forsett @JForsett

Been at dinner did I miss anything while I was away? Oh yeah what's the weather like in Denver?

Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak was the Ravens offensive coordinator in 2014 when Forsett went to the Pro Bowl and finished with a career-high 1,266 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

The 31-year-old running back was a member of the Detroit Lions before they released him this week.

Forsett appeared in only two games for Detroit, totaling 38 rushing yards on 13 carries. He was a healthy scratch once Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington returned from injury.

He began the year with the Ravens, finishing with 98 rushing yards on 31 carries, but was released once Terrance West took over the starting job.

Denver could use depth at running back after Kapri Bibbs left Sunday's game with an ankle injury. According to Mike Klis of 9News, Bibbs was in a walking boot after the Week 13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Devontae Booker will remain the starter, but Forsett could provide value—especially if he rediscovers his previous magic with Kubiak.
