Derek Anderson Starts for Panthers, Throws an Interception on 1st Play

Nobody knows for sure what the Carolina Panthers were thinking when they started Derek Anderson over Cam Newton against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football, but it didn't go very well. At all.
Newton is back on the field after Anderson's botched pass to Mike Tolbert, but there was zero indication that Newton would not be starting.
Even Panthers superfan Stephen Curry was confused by what happened:
