Isaiah Thomas Makes Ridiculous Over-the-Backboard Bucket

Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas wasn't going to let Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond or even the backboard keep him from going for the three-point play during Wednesday's game at TD Garden.

Thomas drew contact with Drummond as he attempted to enter the paint with a little over a minute remaining in the third quarter, and the referee called a foul on the Detroit center.

The contact forced Thomas out of play, but he nevertheless regrouped and offered a prayer of a shot over the backboard. The ball hit the top of it before going in to the delight of the Boston crowd, but all quickly learned the shot didn't count.

Thomas' heroics couldn't save the Celtics, as Detroit defeated them 121-114.
