Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Toni Kroos and Paulo Dybala
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has hinted at plans to retire early and with Los Blancos, amid rumours both Manchester United and Manchester City are keen on the Germany international. Elsewhere, reported Real target Paulo Dybala is said to have agreed terms for a new Juventus contract.
Speaking to Kicker (h/t Mario de la Riva of AS), Kroos spoke about the new contract he recently signed with Real and the possibility of him walking away from the game when the deal runs out in 2022. He also ruled out a move to rivals Barcelona:
"I'll be 32 at the end of my contact. I don't foresee myself playing until 38 or 39. At 32 you've given your best years of football. In respect to physicality, it's a good age to leave it.
I don't want to commit to that given what could happen here in six years.
There are moves that you couldn't do. I don't contemplate being able to go to Barca. It's a question of having respect for tradition and the fans.

Per Jack Otway of the Daily Express, Kroos emphasised it's more likely than not he'll quit the game in 2022. Otway added United and City to the list of interested clubs.
The Red Devils were linked with Kroos in 2014 and were even believed to be the most likely landing spot for the 2014 FIFA World Cup champion until he moved to Real. City manager Pep Guardiola worked with the 26-year-old at Bayern Munich.

Kroos has been one of Real's top performers since making the move to the Spanish capital, becoming a key component of the starting XI in no time. He mainly works as a distributor and playmaker in midfield, while he also shields the defence and makes runs into the box when space opens up.
Here's a look at some of his highlights:
While he and midfield partner Luka Modric aren't known for their ability to score or provide a ton of assists, they play a crucial role by opening up space for Real's all-star attackers.
Kroos has been sidelined for a significant spell of the 2016-17 season, and in his absence, Real have often looked disjointed. It's a testament to his importance to the team that such a fantastic group of players can struggle when one key cog is taken out of the machine.
He's been working hard on his return and shared this video via Twitter:
Rumours linking Kroos with the Premier League pop up every now and then, but given his importance to the team and frequent praise of Madrid and the club, there's no reason to believe he'll actually leave Los Blancos.
Elsewhere, Tuttosport (h/t Calciomercato) reported Dybala is about to put pen to paper on a new deal with Juventus that will more than double his salary—it's said he's set to earn €5 million per year.

Lluis Miguelsanz of Sport previously said the Argentina international was holding off on signing a deal amid reported interest from Real. According to the piece, his current contract will expire when Real's transfer ban comes to an end.
Those rumours ran counter to just about every report coming out of Turin, however. Dybala has only been with Juventus for little over a year, but he has so far maintained he's perfectly happy with the Old Lady and has no plans of leaving anytime soon.
He's quickly become one of Juventus' top players in that short span, as you can see in the video below:
The likes of Real are always on the lookout for world-class talent, and Dybala certainly fits the bill. The new contract will not see Los Blancos lose sight of the 23-year-old, and while it does make a move in the near future unlikely, there's no telling where Dybala will play his football five or six years from now.
