Notre Dame vs. USC: Behind the Historic Rivalry
And the Rabbit Scores
Referee Ron Cherry suffered a scary hit Saturday in Los Angeles.
While calling the third quarter of the USC-Notre Dame tilt, Cherry was caught by linebacker Michael Hutchings and temporarily knocked out.
The ref got back on his feet but appeared dazed as USC trainers helped escort him off the field for medical attention:
USC head coach Clay Helton told reporters after the game that Cherry had been taken to the hospital.
Hopefully this is a precautionary measure and Cherry is OK.
