Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Nemanja Matic and Willian
Manchester United could well enjoy a double raid on Stamford Bridge in January, as manager Jose Mourinho looks to be reunited with two of his former players.
Nemanja Matic and Willian are said to be on the Red Devils’ radar going into the transfer window, and Chelsea reportedly won’t block their pursuit for the former.
According to Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad, the Blues are willing to sacrifice Matic in their pursuit of Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan—via Mark Brus of Metro.

Antonio Conte believes the Belgium international is the perfect partner for N’Golo Kante in the heart of midfield, and if he does bring him to west London, he’ll be happy to let Matic leave.

Matic has been one of Chelsea’s standout players of the past few seasons, with his expert distribution, composure and positional sense earning him endless plaudits around the world.
Manchester United’s recent form has proved that playing with a holding midfielder suits their style perfectly, allowing the likes of Paul Pogba and Juan Mata to push on and cause problems.
Matic would undoubtedly be the perfect insurance policy for United in midfield, and they’ll hope Nainggolan’s apparent lack of happiness in the Italian capital will play into their hands.
Meanwhile, Mourinho could be ready to give Willian the regular football he’s been craving by launching a bid for him in January.

The Brazilian has been frozen out by Conte at Stamford Bridge despite being by and large the club’s best player last term, and David Woods of the Daily Star says United are ready to pounce.
Mourinho is said to be a big fan of the attacker, but he’ll cost United a pretty penny. Woods writes that Willian is worth around £40 million.
United are slowly but surely becoming a Premier League force once again, but there are still holes to plug in the side.
Mourinho will undoubtedly turn to the January transfer window to continue rebuilding the squad, and landing players of Matic's and Willian’s caliber would be a great way to start.
