Real Madrid Transfer News: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Addresses Rumours, More
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has once again hinted at a future with Real Madrid, but he remains committed to current club Borussia Dortmund for the foreseeable future.
During an interview with Soccer Laduma's David Kappel, the Gabon international was inevitably asked about the persistent rumours linking him with Real Madrid. He highlighted how a move to Los Blancos would make his grandfather proud, but at the same time, pointed at his current deal with BVB:
"Only God knows what happens in the future.
If it comes to be, I know my grandfather would be very proud of me.
He was from a small city only 100km from Madrid.
I have signed, not unintentionally, a long-term contract with Borussia Dortmund.
There have been a lot of rumours during each of the past transfer windows and they will probably continue, but that's something I can't control.
I have clearly committed myself to BVB and I enjoy scoring goals for this club and its fantastic fans.

Aubameyang has often suggested it would be a dream to one day play for Real, telling Avila (h/t FourFourTwo) last summer his personal link with Spain is what drives his desire to play in La Liga.
The 27-year-old has been with BVB since 2013, establishing himself as one of Europe's best strikers in the past few years. The speedster has already scored 12 goals in 10 Bundesliga matches this season and netted 25 times during the 2015-16 campaign.
As shared by the UEFA Champions League's official Twitter account, he was an obvious inclusion among the nominees for this year's UEFA Team of the Year:
Dortmund have lost a number of star players to top clubs over the years, most notably Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze, although the latter eventually returned to the Signal Iduna Park. Mats Hummels also made the switch to Bayern Munich last summer, while Ilkay Gundogan swapped BVB for Manchester City.

Aubameyang is likely to join that group of players at some point in the future, although he and Marco Reus have so far refused to abandon BVB. Real's transfer ban means he likely won't be moving to Los Blancos anytime soon.
The La Liga giants will undoubtedly keep scouting Aubameyang, however. The former AC Milan man has a unique skill set, blending blistering pace with an uncanny ability to find space inside the box and finish chances.
Here's a look at a collection of his highlights:
He hasn't made a secret of his desire to play for Real, and if Los Blancos like the striker as much as he likes them, the move should come to pass at some point in the future.
Meanwhile, Swedish newspaper Sport Expressen (h/t Goal) report Real are looking at a man many are comparing to Aubameyang, as Los Blancos are said to be the latest team getting into AIK starlet Alexander Isak.
The 17-year-old is quickly becoming one of the most wanted men on the transfer market ahead of the January transfer window, with seemingly every top club on the continent keeping an eye on the teenager.
Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe sees a resemblance with Aubameyang:
The hype surrounding Isak is somewhat reminiscent of Martin Odegaard's transfer saga, and the Norwegian youngster ended up signing for Real. Don't be surprised if Los Blancos push just as hard for Isak, who has the same kind of world-class potential.
