HS Football Fans Storm Field with Time Left, Team Loses on Kickoff Return TD

A word to the wise: Only storm the field when the game's over.

Lynn English High School in Massachusetts learned that lesson the hard way after scoring a late touchdown over Lynn Classical High School on Thursday. Lynn English led 20-15 with eight seconds left, and Lynn Classical fumbled away the ensuing kickoff with three seconds on the clock.

Fans rushed the field, but a penalty on Lynn English allowed for an additional return, and officials shooed the overanxious crowd back to their seats.

On the second kickoff, Lynn Classical senior Marcus Rivera promptly went 83 yards to the house off a lateral from junior Melvin Nieves.

Game over, 21-20.
