Matthew Dellavedova Biopic Will Begin Production in 2017
Matthew Dellavedova's journey to the NBA is now making its way to Hollywood.
According to Fox Sports Australia's Olgun Uluc, production on the biopic will begin next year. The film will chronicle the 26-year-old guard's life and path to the NBA.
"Delly's inspirational story about overcoming the odds is one everyone can relate to," Bruce Kaider, Dellavedova's manager, said. "In real life, it played out just like a movie."
Per Uluc, Dellavedova will serve as an executive producer for a film hoping to match the feel-good sports tales of Rocky and Hoosiers. Because everyone remembers the time those underdogs hit an opponent's groin and blatantly shoved a defenseless shooter in the air.
Was Rocky Balboa also voted dirtiest player in the league by peers and coaches?
The undrafted Australian gained notoriety while playing a pivotal role for the short-handed Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 playoffs. He offered tenacious defense in limited minutes during this year's championship run before joining the Milwaukee Bucks in a sign-and-trade deal.
