Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
After trouncing Brock Lesnar, Goldberg is poised to reveal his next steps. Is another PPV match in the cards? Will he simply ride off into the proverbial sunset?
Backstage news, the Raw preview on WWE.com and storyline analysis help answer those questions and break down what to expect on the post-PPV-fallout show. The Survivor Series aftereffects start on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network.
News, Potential Spoilers
The Goldberg-Lesnar story may not be over.
After the returning Goldberg crushed The Beast Incarnate in just over a minute in Sunday's main event, many were left wondering what WWE had in mind for him moving forward. It looks now like there is at least one verse left in the powerhouse's swan song.
James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Goldberg has signed a deal to appear in next year's Royal Rumble. Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc) that Goldberg will battle Lesnar in a rematch at some point.
With all that in mind, WWE may have Goldberg appear on Raw to set up what's next for him.
Emma could finally appear on Monday night, too.
WWE has been hyping her transition into Emmalina with a slew of recent vignettes. The videos offered no specific date on her arrival, but it would be logical to reintroduce her after Survivor Series.
Raw Streaks
The Club may finally be on the right track.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are in the midst of a modest winning streak. According to CageMatch.net, the duo has won their last two matches on Raw and are 4-0 overall since Hell in a Cell.
Aside from Gallows' singles loss to Enzo Amore on Halloween in a Trick or Street Fight, The Club is on a roll. WWE needs to keep this up. This smashmouth squad can and should be a dominant force in a tag team division lacking top heels.
Jinder Mahal's return hasn't amounted to much.
WWE has pushed him to the background after re-signing him in August. Mahal hasn't competed on Raw in two weeks and has appeared in just one match on the show in the past two months, per CageMatch.net.
It was an odd move to bring him back in the first place, especially when acts like Curtis Axel and Neville remain painfully underutilized.
Survivor Series Fallout
Cesaro and Sheamus earned another date with the tag team champs. They stopped bickering among themselves at Survivor Series long enough to lead Team Raw to victory in the 10-on-10 tag team match.
Being the last team standing at the PPV has netted them a shot at The New Day on Monday, as WWE noted on Twitter:
The New Day continue to close in on Demolition's record 478-day reign. WWE has to play up what's at stake for the trio, mining drama from their chase of history.
Flair may soon see a challenger emerge, as well.
Bayley scored the final pin to secure the win for Raw's female Survivor Series team. The WWE.com preview suggested that her feat could be a precursor to contention: "Were Bayley's efforts at Survivor Series enough to merit a Raw Women's Title opportunity?"
That feud certainly heated up after the bout, when Flair attacked her own teammate.
The only Survivor Series elimination match Raw lost was the men's bout. One has to imagine that commissioner Stephanie McMahon won't be happy about that.
She had previously told Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and the rest of the team that their jobs depended on the outcome of the match. Her response to Team Raw's failure will be one of the big things to watch on Monday's Raw.
And Goldberg is likely to have the stage.
The Raw preview asked, "Will Goldberg deliver an official farewell on Raw?" After all, during the build to Survivor Series, he implied that this was his final match.
Rumors about a Rumble appearance and his dominant win say otherwise, though. WWE made a controversial move in having Goldberg overwhelm Lesnar. Now it's time to see how the company will follow up on that decision.
