Nebraska Honors Sam Foltz on Senior Day

The Nebraska Cornhuskers opened Saturday's emotional senior day with a special tribute to late punter Sam Foltz.

Foltz, who would have been a senior this year, and former Michigan State Spartans punter Mike Sadler died in a car crash in July. With heavy hearts, Nebraska players honored Foltz's legacy with a video tribute.

Before their Week 12 game against the Maryland Terrapins, all the Cornhuskers seniors—including quarterback Tommy Armstrong—spread flowers across the field:

The Terrapins also commemorated Foltz by designing a special No. 27 jersey:
