Josh Smith Shoots 18 Three-Pointers in China Basketball Association Game
Andrew Gould
No matter how poorly he shot from behind the arc during his NBA career, Josh Smith kept trying to master his three-point stroke. Now playing in the China Basketball Association, he has taken his aggressiveness to another level.
On Wednesday, the forward attempted 18 three-pointers in a single game for the Sichuan Blue Whales. He made seven, which is impressive given his career 28.5 three-point percentage accrued in a dozen NBA seasons.
Smith finished with 41 points, 19 rebounds and five blocks in a 100-93 loss to the Guangdong Southern Tigers, who are led by former NBA big man Yi Jianlian.
