Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours, Players Linked to Jurgen Klopp's Reds
Liverpool reportedly "face a fight" if they're to land Torino's Andrea Belotti, with rivals Everton now understood to have joined the race for the striker. Elsewhere, Mamadou Sakho is said to be "disgusted" with his treatment at Anfield this term.
According to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb (h/t Goal), the Toffees have joined the race for Serie A sensation Belotti, although Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are also reported to be among those clubs contending for his services.
Liverpool could have an opening for another striker at Anfield, with Daniel Sturridge yet to net in the Premier League this season and replacement Divock Origi not yet a reliable starter for manager Jurgen Klopp.

Belotti boomed on to the top-flight scene after joining Torino from Palermo in the summer of 2015, but after scoring 12 in 36 games last term, the forward is well on his way to new heights this season, per Spanish daily AS:
With eight goals in 10 league games and having earned his way into Italy's national team this year, the 22-year-old is quickly making strides through Europe's higher ranks, and the continent's big guns are taking notice.
Belotti's rise at club level has been meteoric, and OptaPaolo recently illustrated his impact on the international scene, too, impressing for the Azzurri during a friendly clash against Germany:
Sturridge's goal drought could convince manager Jurgen Klopp to make a change in 2017, although Roberto Firmino has adapted from an attacking midfielder into a supporting striker role of late.
A major obstacle in any deal for Belotti, however, could be that Torino are said to be seeking £43 million in order to sell their frontman, although that number could quickly lower unless the forward has a clause in his contract requiring such a high sum.
Meanwhile, French newspaper Le Parisien (h/t Sun's Jamie Gordon) reported outcast centre-back Sakho is "disgusted" with how his situation has been handled this term and wants to move away from the club in January.
Sakho hasn't featured for the Reds this season after being sent home early from the club's pre-season tour to the United States, but former Liverpool player Stan Collymore believes there may still be a future for the player, per Anfield HQ:
Even if Sakho were to recover his place in Klopp's first-team plans, he faces a fight in dislodging starting central defenders Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren, who have helped guide the club to the Premier League summit.
Having not pulled on the Liverpool jersey since April, Sakho may be forced to accept his time on Merseyside is over, and a permanent switch may be considered when the winter transfer window re-opens.
