Samantha Diaz isn't letting a few inches of hair stand between her and her professional debut as an MMA fighter. 

At weigh-ins Thursday for Invicta FC 20, the 23-year-old just missed the mark at 116.2 pounds—two ounces over the limit for the strawweight division.         

Diaz didn't seem to think twice before having someone chop off half her hair. When she stepped back on the scale, she weighed in at 115.9.

Diaz isn't exactly laissez-faire about her hair, either. During the cut, she revealed to MMA Fighting (via espnW.com's D'Arcy Maine) that she loved her hair and it had taken her years to grow. She also said she'd likely cry about it later.

But in that moment, making weight was all that mattered.
