Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Serge Aurier and Memphis Depay Rumours
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier after reportedly scouting the right-back in a recent international friendly in France. Meanwhile, manager Jose Mourinho is ready to block Memphis Depay's proposed move to Everton.
Aurier was in action for the Ivory Coast as they drew 0-0 against France on Tuesday, and Metro's Tom Olver cited broadcaster Info Canal+, which reported both United and Manchester City are interested in the 23-year-old.
Antonio Valencia has enjoyed a return to form under Mourinho this season, leaving 2015 signing Matteo Darmian on the bench, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah at times superseding the Italian at right-back.

ESPN FC's Jonathan Johnson recently reported Serie A giants Napoli are also monitoring Aurier, who has settled into life at Parc des Princes after joining the Ligue 1 champions permanently last summer:
The news comes after Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset (h/t Sport Witness' Lucas Sposito) reported Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio, chief football administrator Giovanni Gardini and new head coach Stefano Pioli watched Darmian in Italy's recent friendly against Germany.
Darmian was brought to Old Trafford by Mourinho's predecessor, Louis van Gaal, and Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News sympathised with the defender's struggles after impressing in his maiden season:
Aurier may be considered an upgrade on any of United's current stock in the position, although one could argue Valencia is already fulfilling the club's quota among attacking full-backs down the right flank.
Elsewhere, the Mirror's David McDonnell reported Mourinho is prepared to stop Memphis moving to Goodison Park on loan during the January transfer window as he doesn't want the winger to join a Premier League rival.

Memphis recently caught European attention after netting a brace in the Netherlands' 3-1 win over Luxembourg in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, including a superb free-kick.
The MEN's Luckhurst sourced Football-Oranje.com for quotes Memphis gave to the press following that result as he addressed speculation linking him with a temporary move to Everton in the new year:
"I do not know, we’ll have to see.
I focus on United, I do my very best to be able to get minutes.
I’m going back to United with a good feeling because I have got minutes here [with Netherlands] and we won. That is the most important thing.
"
It's suggested Toffees manager Ronald Koeman is a big fan of his Dutch compatriot and attempted to sign Memphis while at the helm of Southampton before the player chose to move to Old Trafford in 2015, per McDonnell.
His report also mentioned Fenerbahce manager Dick Advocaat, also a fellow Dutchman, is in the lead to take Memphis away from United on loan this winter, a move Mourinho may prefer given his side won't be impacted by any progress he might make.
