Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Bruma and Matteo Darmian
The agent for Galatasaray winger and reported Manchester United target Bruma has advised there is interest in the player from the Premier League, and he’s sure he’ll be on the move soon.
Speaking to Lucas Sposito of Sport Witness, agent Catio Balde seems confident the 22-year-old will be snapped up by an elite side in England or the Bundesliga, although he’s yet to be in touch with the Red Devils or Tottenham Hotspur.
“There are English and German clubs who follow Bruma weekly,” he admitted. “What’s happened is that there hasn’t been an advance until now. Anything can happen in December. He wants to play in the Premier League and he’s sure he’ll be bought.”

This is what Bruma can bring to a team when he's in full flight:
What’s added further fuel to links away from Galatasaray is Bruma’s impending expiration of contract; his deal is due to run out at the end of the season, meaning the Portugal youth international could discuss a pre-contract with a view to a free transfer from January onwards.
Despite the talk of a possible switch, Balde admitted there is an offer on the table from Bruma’s current employers. “It’s true,” he said of the proposed extension. “Given the approach from many clubs, Galatasaray want to prevent it and proposed a renewal.”
Focus on Bruma has intensified this term following a brilliant beginning to the campaign. As these numbers from WhoScored.com show, he’s been extremely difficult for defenders to cope with:
In addition to his trademark power, speed and agility on the ball, Bruma has showcased an increased maturity in the final third, an issue that has previously held him back. In the first 10 games of the Super Lig season he’s notched four goals and three assists.
Ultimately, that’s what will get the player noticed by the biggest clubs in the Premier League. United have a lot of capable options in wide positions already, though, meaning Bruma would have to battle hard to make it into the XI.
From the club’s perspective, landing a player of his talent for free or a meagre fee in midseason would potentially be savvy business.
Matteo Darmian Development

According to Sport Mediaset, via FC Inter 1908 (h/t Sposito), Inter Milan have stepped up their interest in United defender Matteo Darmian.
In the article, it’s suggested Nerazzurri representatives watched the full-back during Italy’s clash with Germany on Tuesday ahead of a possible January loan move. It’s also reported Chelsea may rival the Serie A side for the player, who has made just two Premier League starts this season under manager Jose Mourinho.
When asked about a possible move, Darmian told Rai Sport (h/t Matthew Scott of Goal) it was premature to discuss a departure. “I don't know, it's early to talk about the transfer market,” he said. “Tomorrow I return to Manchester and we have an important match against Arsenal, one everyone wants to play in.”

The Italian has a lot of qualities that Mourinho typically looks for in his defensive players. While he may not be the quickest across the ground, Darmian is energetic, intelligent and rarely gets beaten in one-on-one battles. In games when there’s an onus on United to defend, he could be a secure option.
So far this season, the Portuguese manager has preferred Antonio Valencia in the position, although an injury to the Ecuadorian will likely see Darmian handed a run of games, having started the last two. How he fares in them will be key in determining whether he has a future at Old Trafford.
