Julian Edelman Injury: Updates on Patriots Star's Foot and Return
New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was battling a foot injury heading into Week 11 against the San Francisco 49ers, but was ruled active for the game.
Per the Patriots' official website, Edelman was listed as questionable on Friday after being a limited participant in practice all week.
Edelman has been dealing with a sore foot that's kept him on the injury report with a questionable designation for most of the season after he underwent offseason surgery, but it hasn't hindered him in a noticeable way.

That said, Edelman has had trouble finding paydirt a year after he scored seven touchdowns in nine games. Through nine games, the 30-year-old has posted 48 catches for 457 yards and one touchdown.
However, he has been ramping up his production as the season has progressed. Edelman posted nine catches for 60 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers and 37 yards and a touchdown the following week against the Buffalo Bills before he hauled in seven catches for 99 yards in Week 10 versus the Seattle Seahawks.
The Patriots also listed tight end Rob Gronkowski as out for Sunday's game due to the lung injury he suffered against the Seahawks, so their offensive options against the 49ers are dwindling.
If Edelman is forced to miss time in the future, the Patriots will need receivers Chris Hogan, Danny Amendola and Malcolm Mitchell to step up. And while that group may not inspire loads of confidence, quarterback Tom Brady can also spread the ball around to tight end Martellus Bennett to keep defenses honest.
