Monday, Nov. 14

"The report you're referring to that he's out for the season, I have not heard that from the doctors, so that's incorrect," said Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, per Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News.

Harbaugh was talking about an earlier report from MGoBlog.com, which said Speight will be out for the remainder of the season with a broken collarbone, although he could potentially return for the team's bowl game. Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press later confirmed the report.

Harbaugh wouldn't go into specifics on the injury, but Snyder reported that Speight had suffered a left shoulder injury, via Snyder.

Speight's Return Comes at Perfect Time for Michigan

Prior to the injury, Speight threw for for 2,156 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions, completing 62.3 percent of his passes. The junior has provided stability at the position as the Wolverines remain in the mix for a Big Ten title and a berth in the College Football Playoff.

Speight rejoins the team in one of the biggest games for Michigan in recent memory, with the Wolverines' playoff hopes on the line against bitter rival Ohio State.
