Julio Jones Gets Behind Eagles Defense, Makes Terrific Catch on the Sideline
Playing single coverage against Atlanta Falcons Julio Jones isn't a wise idea—although double- or triple-teaming him still might not be enough.
On Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, Jones continued to make teams pay for putting only one defender on him. Early in the second quarter, Philadelphia Nolan Carroll did everything he could to keep up with the Atlanta star. However, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan put the ball in a place where only his receiver could make a play...and that's exactly what the All-Pro did.
Jones did a terrific job of tracking the pass down and an even better job of getting both feet down. With the help of the 29-yard gain, Atlanta was able to get a field goal to trim Philadelphia's lead to four points.
