Kingsley Coman Injury: Bayern Munich Winger Injures Knee, Ankle on France Duty
Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman will be out until the new year with knee and ankle injuries suffered in training with his national team at their base, Clairefontaine, France.
According to the Bavarians' official website, the 20-year-old was examined by Bayern's medical staff on Thursday and was found to have "torn a ligament in his knee and sustained a capsular tear in his left ankle."
The club wished him a speedy recovery on Twitter:

As noted by DW Sports' Stefan Bienkowski, the injury is far from ideal for the Bundesliga champions:
Coman had been in and out of the team already this season due to injury, completing 90 minutes just once.
Munich can call upon Douglas Costa, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in the Frenchman's absence, but the latter two have had their own problems with fitness in recent years—should they pick up any knocks in the meantime, manager Carlo Ancelotti could face something of a selection headache.
As for Coman, he was among Bayern's most exciting performers last year, and, at his age, there's still plenty of room for him to grow and improve—this setback in his development will be disappointing to all parties.
