The Los Angeles Lakers overcame a 19-point first-half deficit Thursday night to defeat the Sacramento Kings 101-91 on the road. The Lakers are now 5-4 and the Kings fell to 4-6.

Los Angeles' win was a total team effort. Despite a poor start plagued by turnovers and low energy on defense, the squad worked itself back in the game together in the second half. Lou Williams led the team with 21 points, D'Angelo Russell and Nick Young added 17 and 16, respectively, and Julius Randle did a little bit of everything in tallying 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists. As you might expect, the team's run started when it started becoming more careful with the ball.

The Kings were ultimately too dependent on DeMarcus Cousins. The All-Star center ended with 28 points, nine rebounds and four assists, but he took 25 shots, had four turnovers and the team's offense had no direction on the bench.

The Lakers play Saturday in New Orleans against the Pelicans, while the Kings will be back in action Friday night in Portland against the Trail Blazers.
