Maualuga Amid Challenging Season

This has been a difficult season for the 29-year-old so far. He's appeared in eight games and has just 13 solo tackles. Per Pro Football Focus (via Jason Marcum of Cincy Jungle), he ranks 84th out of 87 eligible linebackers.

Vincent Rey figures to continue to be a focus for the defensive unit with Maualuga out. Rey has recorded 62 combined tackles, three passes defensed and one interception in nine games this season.
