Knicks Force Turnover, Miss Layup, Earn a Steal and Throw Ball Away
Zac WassinkNov 9, 2016
The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets both failed to cover themselves in glory during the second quarter of Wednesday's game at Madison Square Garden.
New York guard Brandon Jennings began the inauspicious sequence when he forced a turnover near midcourt. He then attempted to draw a foul while going for a layup, but he failed to earn the call or contact the rim with his shot.
The hosts earned a second steal in under 15 seconds of play when Lance Thomas ripped the ball from the hands of Brooklyn's Bojan Bogdanovic. A hopeful fast break ended poorly for the Knicks, however, when Maurice Ndour ran out of room underneath the rim and subsequently threw the ball away.
